The Association of Healthcare Providers India [AHPI] & Vayah Vikas jointly organized the National Health Conclave 2023, themed “Happy & Healthy Aging” on 29th April 2023 at Hilton Garden Inn, Bangalore.

Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Vayah Vikas & Chairman, Axilor Ventures gave the welcome address followed by Dr Alexander Thomas, Founder member and Patron, AHPI who gave an overall view of the conclave. Mrs Jamuna Ravi, CEO, Vayah Vikas talked briefly about Vayah Vikas, whereas, Dr Girdhar J Gyani, Director General, AHPI gave an overview of AHPI.

This was followed by the release of the book “Embracing the Golden Years - A Guide To Happy And Healthy Ageing” published by INDUS, AHPI & Vayah Vikas. Edited by Dr Alexander Thomas, Mr. Kris Gopalakrishnan, Ms. Divya Alexander & Ms. Sugandhi Baliga.

Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health, delivered a highly inspiring keynote address about healthy ageing.

Speakers included leaders from the Government, research institutions, academia, industry, community & international agencies. They were invited to discuss & arrive at implementable recommendations to empower and improve the welfare of senior citizens. The white paper that will be drafted from the proceedings of the conclave is expected to aid in synergizing efforts of the public & private sectors in enhancing the quality of life of senior citizens.

There were 4 sessions that included the following topics:

Health and Health Insurance

Social Engagement and Beyond

Technology & Research Relevant to Older Adults

Law and Policy

The Guest of Honour, Justice S R Bannurmath, Former Chief Justice of Kerala & Chairman, Law Commission, Government of Karnataka, addressed the audience, concluding the session. Ms Pavithra Reddy, COO, Vayah Vikas delivered the vote of thanks.
